Archived news and site updates from the year 2004.

December 16, 2004 – I know it sounds like a scam, but a quick Google search yields some very promising results. Just click this link (removed), sign up, buy yourself a new ink cartridge and earn me some credit towards a free iPod. Think of it as your Christmas present to me.

December 01, 2004 – Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. I am working on some new additions to the site which I hope to add soon.

November 15, 2004 – Today I added a new page of wallpaper to the Photos section.

November 11, 2004 – Welcome to Trevorland v6! It’s loosely based on the “New Bliss” theme found in the 2005 release of WinXP Media Center Edition. I think it has a fresh, clean look. Check back for new stuff soon!

October 24, 2004 – The site is finally online! Hope you like it. Some of the pictures may load slowly, please be patient and they’ll show up.

October 06, 2004 – My 19th birthday is on the horizon. Hooray, maybe I will buy some space to host this site.

October 01, 2004 – Holy crap is it October already?! I have not done much with the site lately, I’ve been busy working on a new and better site. A lot of the fat found on the current site has been trimmed and the new site is going to be leaner and meaner. I’m really excited about it and I hope to have it online soon.

September 30, 2004 – The site is nearing completion as I make some small adjustments here and there.

September 26, 2004 – I love weekends.

September 23, 2004 – Construction on the new site has begun!

September 19, 2004 – Today I have modified the My Computer page to reflect a few upgrades I did last week. The Pictures section should be back online soon.

September 10, 2004 – Well part of the site is back online until I can move to a new server. Hopefully it will happen sometime this month. Just bare with me until then.

August 31, 2004 – The new Maxim cover scan is online, but I don’t think it’s anywhere near as good as last month’s issue. I have also added some new graffiti pictures I took recently. School and work consume most of my time these days.

August 23, 2004 – I’ve changed a few things on the site today but it is mostly the same. I have simplified the About Me page, renamed the “My Car” page to “The Cavalier” and the “Computers” page to “My Computer.” The new Maxim cover scan should be online soon. I have not done much lately because I have started my second year of college classes and I am still working part time. Just hang in there until Trevorland v6 is finished, it’s going to be great.

August 16, 2004 – Well the site is back up after some unexpected downtime. I have not had much time lately to add anything new, but I will try and add more new stuff soon.

August 06, 2004 – I have added this month’s Maxim cover featuring Anna Kournikova, and it looks niiiice. I have been busy working on Trevorland v6 which should be online within the next month or two. As much as I love this site, it’s getting old. I need something new to work with. I hope I will have time though, school starts on the 23rd.

July 20, 2004 – Wow, my Vegas trip was incredible! We saw and did it all in four days; it was a blast. I have added a new page of pictures here. This summer is going by much too quickly.

July 12, 2004 – Today I have added some updated pictures of my bike and my car. I am hoping to build myself a new computer before the end of the year with the money I am saving up from my job. Other than that, nothing is really going on. It’s too damned hot outside.

July 11, 2004 – Hey I’m back from vacation! I had a good time, took lots of pictures, got the new issue of Maxim, and now I’m home for about a week until I head up to Las Vegas for a couple of days. I’ve updated a lot of things on the site, maybe you noticed it was getting a tad stale. Browse around and see what’s changed.

June 20, 2004 – Exactly one week from today, I’ll be on a plane headed towards Massachusetts. I’m excited, but then I’m not. It’s a break from the ordinary, but I know exactly where we’re going and what we’re going to do because we do it every year. I’ll just have to try and make the best of it. Nothing much is new with the site, I just changed a few things here and there.

June 15, 2004 – I’ve (finally) added the June Maxim cover scan featuring Jessica Simpson. I’m going on vacation at the end of the month, which means I won’t be attending the Warped Tour this year either (I missed the 2003 tour). Sometimes life just isn’t fair. At least I get to go to Maine for a week.

June 10, 2004 – Wow, I haven’t updated in a while. I’ve been busy working, and today it all paid off: $405 for my first check. I’ve already thought of ten thousand ways to spend it too. Today I added a picture of the car stereo I installed about two weeks ago. I finally got a replacement knob for it today, so it looks brand new again. I’m looking into hosting for the site, for real this time.

May 31, 2004 – I actually changed a few things on the site today! I updated my Nokia 3590 page and the Stuff I Want page, in addition to the About Me section. Also, I have prepared all of the Daily Quotes for June. They are selections from my favorite comic strip, Calvin and Hobbes. Look for the June Maxim Cover featuring Jessica Simpson soon!

May 27, 2004 – I’m starting to lose my enthusiasm for my new job. It’s just so boring! I get my first paycheck on June 10th, which seems like forever. I got the new CD player for my car, it sounds pretty great. I’ll put up a picture soon. I wish I had something fun to do for Memorial Day weekend, but I don’t (as usual).

May 17, 2004 – I finally got a job! Today was my first day at Body of Change. I work at the corporate office doing filing, xeroxing, data entry, and other menial jobs nobody else wants to do. It may not be the greatest job, but it’s a heck of a lot better than delivering phone books, and it will be great to be indoors come summertime. The CD player I bought for my car should be coming sometime this week. I can hardly wait.

May 11, 2004 – Today I updated some links at the right-hand side of the page, and I added a Current Date feature to the left. The rest of this month is all Futurama quotes, so check back daily for a new one. Not too much else is going on right now…and I like that.

May 07, 2004 – Only a couple of days of school left, and then I’m out for the summer! I may be getting a job at Albertson’s though, so it won’t all be fun and games. I put together my Mother’s Day gift today, it cost about $15 total. It’s probably the most thought I’ve ever put into a gift; I hope she likes it. Tomorrow I have to help with the annual NALC food drive and the forecast says 99 degrees Fahrenheit – it’s gonna suck. 🙁

May 02, 2004 – Wow, is it really May already? I finished that skateboard, pics are here and here. I’ve also updated my Cavalier pictures AGAIN, since I removed the side moldings last Friday. This weekend went by much too fast, I still have a mountain of homework to tackle before the semester ends. I need to stop procrastinating and just do it already.

April 29, 2004 – Today I have scanned and uploaded the cover of this month’s Maxim to my collection. The skateboard is almost finished; I wish I had taken a ‘before’ picture for comparison. I’m still trying to figure out what classes I want to take this fall – the sooner I decide, the more likely it is I’ll get in. I’m thinking a business degree might be the way to go, but I haven’t decided for sure yet. I’m tired of school, I wish it were summertime already.

April 22, 2004 – Well I finished that miserable phone book job. I’m getting my first paycheck for $181.75 on Saturday, which is awesome. I’m working on cleaning up a skateboard I bought from GoodWill and I’m going to do some more work on my car next week, so I’ll be keeping busy until final exams which are just around the corner. Today I have added a new picture to my Funny Pictures page. I also added some new Cavalier pictures and updated the Cavalier page. That’s all for now. Adios.

April 17, 2004 – Work is haaaaaaard! I have to load the books into my car, drive home and unload them, put one of each kind in a bag, and then load the bags back in the car. Delivering them is the easy part, except for the heat and the weight of the books and the rough neighborhood. My route is a bunch of seedy trailer parks, where almost every address has an angry dog, three cars in the driveway but only one with wheels on it, and a NO TRESSPASSING sign hanging from their chain-link fence. I have to deliver 400 books in five days. I hope I can make it. For now, I need to rest – I’m exhausted. Oh, and I have a load of homework to do too. 🙁

April 15, 2004 – I finally got a job! I start tomorrow at 9AM, and I get to make my own hours. I guess I have “the right stuff” to be delivering phone books! Heh everyone has to start somewhere I guess. I hope everything goes well. I also got a strut tower brace and a new car cover for the Cavalier. I’m going to a Phi Theta Kappa barbecue this weekend at some girl’s house; it’s kind of a “get-to-know-everyone” thing. It might be fun, we’ll see. That’s about all that’s new.

April 11, 2004 – I’ve updated a ton of things today, including About Me, the Friends page, Stuff I Want, My Car, Computers, and the Site Survey. I decided the About Me page read too much like a police report or something, so that’s been redone in a more casual form. I’ve also deleted my CampusHook profile, as it was pretty lame. I’ll be launching a new site in the coming weeks anyway. Oh yeah, Happy Easter everyone.

April 08, 2004 – I got a new firewire card yesterday. I guess it was worth updating my site for. Today I got the coolant flushed in my car, and they gave me back an inspection sheet with more new problems than the last one! I think somebody up there hates me. I haven’t had much time for the site lately, but it really doesn’t need much attention at this point. That’s all for now.

April 01, 2004 – Okay, I lied. I waited until April first to upload the April Issue of Maxim’s cover scan. The same collection has now replaced the TI 83+ Programs page, which is getting its own site soon. Can you believe it’s April already?!

March 30, 2004 – My poor site is starving for attention! I should make some more progress, but I’ve had a busy week. (New Maxim cover tomorrow, I promise.) I’m now a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Society, Omicron Lambda chapter. We only meet like 7 more times before the semester is over, seems easy enough. I have a ton of homework to tackle before the semester is up, so I’d better get to work on that now. Adios!

March 23, 2004 – I’ve spent the last two days re-coding portions of the site in the interest of compatibility. The site now looks the same in Mozilla FireFox and Konqueror as it does in IE. Huzzah! I’ve also updated the Stuff I Want and Cavalier pages. This weekend, I’ll be inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the community college honors program. There’s a ceremony and everything; I hope it’ll be worth the trouble.

March 18, 2004 – I corrected a few errors in the site’s code today. It’s still not perfect, but it’s a little bit closer than it was. I’ve still got a few things to work out in the next few days, including adding some new pictures of my computer setup and fixing the Cavalier page. Bare with me. 🙂

March 17, 2004 – Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I don’t plan on doing anything special. I got a new computer desk for free, so I moved some furniture around yesterday. It’s weird getting used to it, but I’ll live. I’ll try and get a picture up soon. Spring Break is going well so far. I’ve applied to Wendy’s and Jiffy Lube; JL said they’d give me a call. I guess we’ll see what happens.

March 13, 2004 – Spring Break has arrived! I wish I had something fun and exciting planned. I’ve made a new profile for my car at I think I can keep it better organized than I can on this site. I’ve also started putting together a graphing calculator site to showcase the programs I’ve written. Those two sections will probably disappear from Trevorland shortly. Still, it’s for the best.

March 09, 2004 – Yikes, it’s 92°F outside right now! I’ve updated the Quotes box today. This month is all about Homer Simpson. Next month, I’m doing Family Guy quotes. That’s all for now, I need some ice cream. Bye.

March 05, 2004 – Wow, we had a heck of a rainstorm last night. There was thunder and everything, it was great. Today I turned in my Krispy Kreme application. Keep your fingers crossed. I’ve added a few things to my Cavalier page; not much else has changed. There’s just one week left until spring break! I’m looking forward to it.

February 27, 2004 – The March cover of Maxim has been scanned and added to my collection; you can view it here. I’ve signed up for Campus Hook, just for fun. It’s kind of lame so far, I can’t upload more pictures and it has my hometown completely wrong. We’ll see how that works out, and whether or not I stick with the site. I’ve found a web host I want to sign up for, but I need a credit card to buy the domain. Hopefully I’ll be on my own host before too long.

February 23, 2004 – It’s raining out today, after a weekend of cloudy skies. It was just waiting until I had to get up early and go to school to start raining. I got a new dash mat for my car, which was pretty cool. I’m pretty bogged down with homework, so don’t expect a big update today. Spring Break still feels like it’s a long way off, though it’s only three weeks away. I’m ready for the sun and the warmth now.

February 20, 2004 – Wow, I’ve been back in school for a month already. So why does it feel like it’s been so much longer? I’ll just have to tough it out I guess. I got some new sunglasses yesterday. They’re pretty cool. I’ll try and put up a picture soon. Also, the new Maxim will be online shortly. Stick around for more. 🙂

February 15, 2004 – Well Valentine’s Day has come and gone. Maybe someday I’ll be excited about it, but until then, good riddance! I have put up a couple of new pictures of me in the Pictures section, since the old ones were, well, old. I’ve also reset the Countdown thing on the left for our next big American holiday, aka “get-drunk-off-your-ass” day. Not too much fun for me, but some of you might enjoy it. Lastly, I updated my list of 10 CD’s You Should Own and Stuff I Want.

February 10, 2004 – The site is back up now, after some brief downtime due to server troubles. My friends helped me put some 6.5″ speakers in my car, so that’s been added to the Cavalier page. I’m still looking for a job, any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Looks like I’ll be alone again for Valentine’s Day. *sigh* Life kinda sucks like that.

February 02, 2004 – Well, I forgot to mention yesterday that February is celebrity month in the Quote of the Day box. If you haven’t heard of most of these people, I suggest you get outside more often. I’m thinking of doing Movie Quotes and Simpsons Quotes in the future; if you have a great idea for a theme, why not email me and share it!

January 29, 2004 – I installed my new deck in my car today! It’s pretty basic as far as car stereos go, but I love it anyway. There are two pictures of it on the My Car page, a before and an after picture. Hopefully I can invest in some more goodies if I land a job soon.

January 23, 2004 – Today I have added several new pictures to the My Car section. Not much else is new with me; I filled out some job applications and turned them in today. I applied to AMC Theatres, Costco, Discover Card, OfficeMax and Radio Shack. Let’s hope I get some calls in the next few days…

January 20, 2004 – The new semester of school is off to a good start. It will be good to challenge my brain again after a month of apathy. I’m excited to be doing a lot more driving as well. Check out the February issueof Maxim, a drool-inducing new cover is online for you today. That’s all for now, I have homework to do.

January 17, 2004 – So my mom got a new car today. It’s a 2004 Chevy Cavalier. But Trevor, don’t each of your parents already own Cavaliers? Well now we have three. It’s insane, I know. But who am I to complain, since they are giving me the oldest one for free? I have to get a job now, there is no delaying it any longer. I had better start looking everywhere. We’ll see how things turn out.

January 14, 2004 – Man, I’ve been slackin’ lately. Today brings a few changes to the Car section, as well as the new Daily Quote thing on the left side of your screen. I’m running low on ideas, the site is pretty mature and the content will be current for quite some time. With school starting up again in six days, I’m off to making the most of my free time. See yuh.

January 05, 2004 – Today I have some new Computer Pictures up, which replace the ones taken with my old camera. I think you’ll find these look pretty sharp. I’ll be putting up some more pictures as I take them. Until then, I’m gonna test out the new 20GB hard drive I found in a dumpster yesterday. This thing is factory sealed! It’s a Maxtor 20GB 7200RPM ATA-100 drive, and it was in the box with all the software and cables. What a find! I hope it works.

January 02, 2004 – Happy New Year! It feels good to start over, doesn’t it? My first college report card came in the mail the other day, I have a 3.75 GPA! I’m very satisfied with that. Also, I bought a new car stereo, so I can add that to my Cavalier page once I put it in. Not much else is going on. I’ve got a while yet until school starts up again, I had better find something to keep myself busy.
