My third trip on Amtrak went from Phoenix to Chicago on the Southwest Chief and from Chicago to Boston on the Lake Shore Limited.
In 1997, our family took Amtrak from Phoenix to San Francisco for a vacation. We rode the Sunset Limited and the Coast Starlight, plus encountered a huge 18 hour delay in Los Angeles.
My first ever trip on Amtrak takes me, my brother, and my dad from Phoenix to Atlanta in 1995 via the Sunset Limited and the Crescent, with an overnight stop in New Orleans.
In 2011, I went on a three-day work-sponsored trip to attend the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Though it was hectic, I managed to combine business and pleasure with some sightseeing and amazing photo opportunities.
Taking some time to explore the city that I often pass through on the way to someplace else. In this day trip we visit the Flagstaff Arboretum, Lowell Observatory, hike in a meadow, and check out the neon signs of old Route 66.
