Editor’s Note: To tell the history of my car, I thought it would be amusing to write it in the style of a high end auction site, such as RM Sotheby’s. They have a distinct writing style to describe collector cars that I wanted to emulate. This vehicle is not for sale.
This 1970 Cadillac Sedan de Ville (chassis no. 312228) was produced at the Cadillac Assembly Plant on Clark Street in Detroit. First registered in July 1970, the car had an original price of $6,118, which is equivalent to $49,250 in 2024.
The car is a hardtop sport sedan, which has a pillarless design between the front and rear doors. Originally finished in Cotillion White exterior with Medium Gold interior and a black vinyl roof. The car has a 129.5-inch wheelbase, and an overall length of 225 inches.
Under the hood is the powerful 472 cubic inch (7.7-liter) OHV V8 engine rated at 375 horsepower SAE and 525 ft-lbs of torque. Coupled to this is a 3-speed TH400 automatic transmission.

Purchased by the current owners in 2014, a group of three friends who pooled $600 together to buy the car. Title showed 22,226 miles at the time of purchase.
In 2025, the passenger side windows were broken when a car smashed through the concrete block wall, showering the car with debris.
