Comments:
This was the first computer our family ever had. We signed up with AOL (and later, EarthLink) dial up Internet. We gave this computer away in the fall of 2000 when we replaced it with our Dell desktop.

Comments:
Our family purchased this computer brand new from Dell in the fall of 2000. For seven years it was our only computer. It is now a backup computer and test bed for other projects. The machine has been heavily upgraded from its original specs which included 128MB of RAM, a 32MB nVidia video vard, a 10GB hard drive, and Windows Millennium Edition OS.

Comments:
This was the first computer I built entirely by myself. It has been upgraded several times since 2007 and I continue to use it every day.

Comments:
This computer was built entirely from spare parts. The case was given to me by a friend. After a thorough cleaning, new power supply, and a fresh coat of black paint it looks good as new. Someday this will be in my living room attached to a TV as a multimedia machine.

Comments:
The CPU and motherboard for this computer were rescued from a stripped out Compaq chassis I found in a dumpster. After spending $400 dollars on new parts including a MicroATX case, hard drive, memory, graphics card, and a 17-inch LCD monitor, this "little black box" became the new computer for my parents to use.
